اَلرَّحْمٰنُ

بہت رحم کرنے والا

The Most Merciful

عَلَّمَ الْقُرْاٰنَ

اس نے قرآن سکھایا

Taught the Qur'an,

خَلَقَ الْاِنْسَانَ

اس نے انسان کو پیدا کیا

Created man,

عَلَّمَهُ الْبَیَانَ

اسے بولنا سکھایا

[And] taught him eloquence.

اَلشَّمْسُ وَ الْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ

سورج اور چاند ایک حساب کے مطابق ہیں

The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation,

وَّ النَّجْمُ وَ الشَّجَرُ یَسْجُدٰنِ

اور ستارے اور درخت سجدہ کرتے ہیں

And the stars and trees prostrate.

وَ السَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَ وَضَعَ الْمِیْزَانَ

اور آسمان کو بلند کیا اور ترازو کو قائم کیا

And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance

اَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِی الْمِیْزَانِ

کہ ترازو میں زیادتی نہ کرو

That you not transgress within the balance.

وَ اَقِیْمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَ لَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِیْزَانَ

اور انصاف کے ساتھ وزن پورا کرو اور ترازو میں کمی نہ کرو

And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance.

وَ الْاَرْضَ وَ ضَعَهَا لِلْاَنَامِ

اور زمین کو مخلوقات کے لئے بچھایا

And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures.

فِیْهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَّ النَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْاَكْمَامِ

اس میں میوے ہیں اور کھجوریں جن کے خوشے ہیں

Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]

وَ الْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَ الرَّیْحَانُ

اور دانے والے اناج اور خوشبودار پھول

And grain having husks and scented plants.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

تو تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

خَلَقَ الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ

اس نے انسان کو ٹھیکری کی طرح بجنے والی مٹی سے پیدا کیا

He created man from clay like [that of] pottery.

وَ خَلَقَ الْجَآنَّ مِنْ مَّارِجٍ مِّنْ نَّارٍ

اور جنات کو آگ کی لپٹ سے پیدا کیا

And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

تو تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَیْنِ وَ رَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَیْنِ

وہی دو مشرقوں اور دو مغربوں کا رب ہے

[He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

تو تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَیْنِ یَلْتَقِیٰنِ

اس نے دو دریاؤں کو چھوڑا جو ملتے ہیں

He released the two seas, meeting [side by side];

بَیْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا یَبْغِیٰنِ

ان کے درمیان ایک پردہ ہے جو تجاوز نہیں کرتے

Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

تو تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے؟

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

یَخْرُ جُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَ الْمَرْجَانُ

ان دونوں (سمندروں) سے موتی اور مونگے نکلتے ہیں۔

From both of them emerge pearl and coral.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

تو تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے؟

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

وَ لَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنْشَــٴٰـتُ فِی الْبَحْرِ كَالْاَعْلَامِ

اور اسی کے لیے سمندر میں بلند و بالا جہاز ہیں جو پہاڑوں کی طرح ہیں۔

And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

تو تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے؟

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَیْهَا فَانٍ

زمین پر جو بھی ہے سب فنا ہو جانے والا ہے۔

Everyone upon the earth will perish,

وَّ یَبْقٰى وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلٰلِ وَ الْاِكْرَامِ

اور صرف تیرے رب کا جلال والا اور عزت والا چہرہ باقی رہے گا۔

And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

تو تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے؟

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

یَسْــٴَـلُهٗ مَنْ فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِؕ-كُلَّ یَوْمٍ هُوَ فِیْ شَاْنٍ

آسمانوں اور زمین میں جو بھی ہیں وہ اسی سے سوال کرتے ہیں، ہر دن وہ نئی شان میں ہے۔

Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is bringing about a matter.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

تو تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے؟

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ اَیُّهَ الثَّقَلٰنِ

ہم عنقریب تمہاری طرف متوجہ ہوں گے اے جن و انسان کے گروہ!

We will attend to you, O prominent beings.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

تو تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے؟

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

یٰمَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَ الْاِنْسِ اِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ اَنْ تَنْفُذُوْا مِنْ اَقْطَارِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ فَانْفُذُوْاؕ-لَا تَنْفُذُوْنَ اِلَّا بِسُلْطٰنٍ

اے جنوں اور انسانوں کے گروہ! اگر تم آسمانوں اور زمین کی حدود سے باہر نکل سکتے ہو تو نکل جاؤ، مگر طاقت کے بغیر نہیں نکل سکتے۔

O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allah].

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

تو تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے؟

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

یُرْسَلُ عَلَیْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّنْ نَّارٍ وَّ نُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنْتَصِرٰنِ

تم پر آگ کی چنگاریاں اور پگھلا ہوا تانبا بھیجا جائے گا، پس تم بچ نہیں سکو گے۔

There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and you will not defend yourselves.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

تو تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے؟

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَاِذَا انْشَقَّتِ السَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ

پس جب آسمان پھٹ جائے گا تو وہ گلاب کی طرح سرخ ہو جائے گا۔

And when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oil -

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

تو تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے؟

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

فَیَوْمَىٕذٍ لَّا یُسْــٴَـلُ عَنْ ذَنْۢبِهٖۤ اِنْسٌ وَّ لَا جَآنٌّ

پس اس دن نہ انسان سے اس کے گناہوں کے بارے میں پوچھا جائے گا اور نہ جنوں سے۔

Then on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or jinn.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

تو تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے؟

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

یُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ بِسِیْمٰىهُمْ فَیُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِیْ وَ الْاَقْدَامِ

مجرموں کو ان کی علامتوں سے پہچانا جائے گا اور انہیں پیشانیوں اور پاؤں سے پکڑا جائے گا

The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

هٰذِهٖ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِیْ یُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ

یہی وہ جہنم ہے جسے مجرم جھٹلایا کرتے تھے

This is Hell, which the criminals deny.

یَطُوْفُوْنَ بَیْنَهَا وَ بَیْنَ حَمِیْمٍ اٰنٍ

وہ اس کے اور کھولتے پانی کے درمیان چکر کاٹتے رہیں گے

They will go around between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

وَ لِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ جَنَّتٰنِ

اور جو اپنے رب کے سامنے کھڑے ہونے سے ڈرا اس کے لئے دو باغ ہیں

But for he who has feared the position of his Lord are two gardens -

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

ذَوَاتَاۤ اَفْنَانٍ

ان باغوں میں شاخوں والی نعمتیں ہیں

Having [spreading] branches.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فِیْهِمَا عَیْنٰنِ تَجْرِیٰنِ

ان میں دو بہتی ہوئی نہریں ہیں

In both of them are two springs, flowing.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فِیْهِمَا مِنْ كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجٰنِ

ان میں ہر قسم کے پھلوں کے جوڑے ہیں

In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

مُتَّكِـٕیْنَ عَلٰى فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآىٕنُهَا مِنْ اِسْتَبْرَقٍؕ-وَ جَنَا الْجَنَّتَیْنِ دَانٍ

وہ ریشم کے بچھونوں پر تکیہ لگائے ہوں گے اور دونوں باغوں کے پھل قریب ہوں گے

[They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فِیْهِنَّ قٰصِرٰتُ الطَّرْفِۙ-لَمْ یَطْمِثْهُنَّ اِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَ لَا جَآنٌّ

ان میں نظریں جھکائے ہوئے حوریں ہیں جنہیں ان سے پہلے نہ کسی انسان نے چھوا نہ جن نے

In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinni -

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

كَاَنَّهُنَّ الْیَاقُوْتُ وَ الْمَرْجَانُ

گویا وہ یاقوت اور مرجان ہیں

As if they were rubies and coral.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

هَلْ جَزَآءُ الْاِحْسَانِ اِلَّا الْاِحْسَانُ

بھلا نیکی کا بدلہ نیکی کے سوا اور کیا ہے

Is the reward for good [anything] but good?

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

وَ مِنْ دُوْنِهِمَا جَنَّتٰنِ

اور ان کے علاوہ بھی دو باغ ہوں گے

And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

مُدْهَآ مَّتٰنِ

وہ سبز رنگ کے ہوں گے

Dark green [in color].

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فِیْهِمَا عَیْنٰنِ نَضَّاخَتٰنِ

ان میں دو چشمے بہتے ہوں گے

In both of them are two springs, spouting.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فِیْهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَّ نَخْلٌ وَّ رُمَّانٌ

ان میں پھل، کھجور اور انار ہوں گے

In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فِیْهِنَّ خَیْرٰتٌ حِسَانٌ

ان میں بہترین اور خوبصورت عورتیں ہوں گی

In them are good and beautiful women -

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

حُوْرٌ مَّقْصُوْرٰتٌ فِی الْخِیَامِ

خیموں میں مقید حوریں ہوں گی

Fair ones reserved in pavilions -

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

لَمْ یَطْمِثْهُنَّ اِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَ لَا جَآنٌّ

انہیں ان سے پہلے کسی انسان یا جن نے نہیں چھوا ہوگا

Untouched before them by man or jinni -

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

مُتَّكِـٕیْنَ عَلٰى رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَّ عَبْقَرِیٍّ حِسَانٍ

وہ سبز غالیچوں اور خوبصورت قالینوں پر تکیہ لگائے بیٹھے ہوں گے

Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets.

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ

پھر تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

تَبٰرَكَ اسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِی الْجَلٰلِ وَ الْاِكْرَامِ

بہت بابرکت ہے تیرے رب کا نام جو جلال اور بزرگی والا ہے

Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.
