Surah Al-Kahf (سُورَة الْكَهْف), the 18th chapter of the Holy Quran, is one of the most beloved and spiritually momentous Surahs in Islamic tradition. Comprising 110 verses revealed in Makkah, it is universally recited by millions of believers every single Friday (Jummah). The Surah unfolds four timeless divine parables that teach believers how to conquer the greatest trials of human existence: the Trial of Faith (The Companions of the Cave / Ashab al-Kahf), the Trial of Wealth (The Owner of the Two Gardens), the Trial of Knowledge (Prophet Musa and Khidr), and the Trial of Power (Dhul-Qarnayn and Yajuj & Majuj).
Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) emphasized that reciting Surah Al-Kahf on Friday illuminates the believer with a divine celestial light (Noor) extending from one Friday to the next, while memorizing and contemplating its opening and concluding ten verses serves as an impenetrable spiritual shield against the deceit and tribulation of the Dajjal (Anti-Christ).
